Virginia Sustainable Energy ("we," "us") helps Virginia homeowners find out whether their home qualifies for state solar programs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details you provide through our forms and ads: name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code.
- Home and energy details you provide: whether you own your home, your average electric bill range, and your electric utility.
- Communication records: texts, calls, and emails between you and our team, so we can pick up where we left off.
How we use it
- To determine whether your home may qualify for a state solar program.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text message, or email, including with automated technology, at the number you provided. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase.
- To schedule and confirm the call where we go over your numbers.
How we share it
- With the solar program provider that would serve your home, only as needed to complete qualification and, if you move forward, installation.
- With service vendors that run our scheduling, calling, and texting systems, who may use it only to provide those services to us.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Text messaging
If you submit your number, we may text you about your request. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
Your choices and rights
Virginia residents have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to opt out of further contact. To exercise any of these, email us or reply STOP to any text. We honor requests within 45 days.
Retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we limit access to the people and systems that need it to serve you.
